Kingfisher Photography workshop | Diving Kingfisher Photography
0800 – 1700 Meeting close to the A1 near Leeds West Yorkshire.
£200 per person per day. Limited to two photographers per day. FULLY BOOKED
Join me in June for a day of Kingfisher photography. Located near Leeds the established location offers fantastic photo opportunities and frequent visits from the birds.
The days are limited to two photographers and during the day we’ll take perched static Kingfisher photographs and also diving images both above and below the water.
This doesn’t require big fast lenses ideally you’ll have around 300/400mm either a prime or zoom, diving are shot with lenses between 150 – 200mm. (full frame). You will require a wireless remote trigger for your camera (available from Amazon for around £15).
A canon 300 2.8 IS Lens (with tripod and gimbal) and a Canon 100-400 mark II will be available to hire each day for £30 per lens.

All the images below were taken with between 30o and 400mm on a full frame camera. (Diving images shot at 200mm)
Terms and Conditions: A non refundable £50 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due three weeks before the workshop date.
Who can book? Any one, there are no limits as to who can book this workshop. Please note there are no toilet facilities on site, think nature.
Getting here: The location is close to Leeds and the A1.
Other nature photography opportunities in the area. A Local wildlife photographer offers wild Barn Owl photography and Red Kite photography. There are also Kestrel photography hides located thirty minutes away. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like any more information.
Kingfishers are a Schedule 1 protected species and care should not be taken to disturb them at or near the nest site. The location we are using is a well established feeding pond and river well away from the birds nest.
